Maya’s journey into the world of beauty grew from a passion for body positivity and empowerment. After a decade of teaching trauma-informed yoga in her home community of West Marin, she saw hairdressing as another way to bridge the connection between body and mind—helping others feel at home in their individuality and move through the world with a greater sense of freedom, confidence, and ease.

With a background in art and creative movement, Maya brings an intentional and detail-oriented approach to her work. She values communication and intuition, creating a welcoming space where each client feels comfortable expressing their needs, exploring their style, and being part of the creative process.

Edo Salon-trained, Maya specializes in razor cutting, lived-in texture and natural styling, short and shaggy cuts, blowouts, and event styling. She is passionate about continuing to learn and evolve as a stylist and is excited to further her education as part of the Fox + Stone team.

Outside of the salon, Maya enjoys a creative and active lifestyle. Whether she’s hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, or making art, she is always drawn to new projects, experiences, and opportunities to learn.
